You can verify this on the official Nevada DOE Approved Online Providers list. Your Nevada DOE-approved Certificate of Completion lists 45 clock hours, exactly what Nevada requires you to upload to OPAL, so you have the documentation you need for renewal.
When you complete a course, we email you a PDF Certificate of Completion showing your 45 clock hours, ready for OPAL. You download that certificate and upload it directly to your OPAL account β it's your step, not ours. Nevada DOE doesn't accept provider-side reporting for renewal documentation, so the certificate-to-OPAL upload is straightforward and entirely in your hands. Most teachers do it in under five minutes.
Two courses. Each For Teachers By Teachers course is 45 clock hours, so two gives you 90 clock hours to upload to OPAL. Here's the nuance worth knowing: teachers whose Nevada license was issued on or after September 16, 2024 need 90 clock hours (or 6 semester credits) per licensure period, while teachers licensed before that date follow the older rule of 15 hours per year β about 75 hours over a 5-year standard license, or 90 over a 6-year professional one. That said, the Nevada Department of Education notes that salary advancement acceptance varies by employer β so a quick check with your district HR office before purchasing is always a smart move. If your district confirms acceptance, you can add the transcript fee anytime from inside your online classroom, even after you finish the course.
