Terms of Use
Welcome to For Teachers By Teachers LLC (“FTBT”). By accessing our website or enrolling in any FTBT course, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Our goal is to serve educators with clarity, integrity, and flexibility—while also ensuring fair use, transparency, and legal protection for everyone. Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding.
1. Educational Purpose Only
Our courses are designed for professional learning and continuing education. While we partner with accredited universities and approved programs, FTBT makes no guarantee that our courses, hours, or credits will be accepted by your district, union, state agency, or employer.
You are solely responsible for verifying eligibility, relevance, and acceptance of any course, credit, or transcript before enrolling.
Nothing on this site constitutes legal, employment, or licensing advice. Always confirm with your local agency or HR before relying on a course for salary advancement or certification purposes.
2. No Guarantee of Outcome
FTBT cannot guarantee any particular professional outcome. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Salary step movement or reclassification
- License or certificate renewal
- Tuition reimbursement or credit recognition
- Transcript acceptance or timely processing
- Employer or agency approval
Past acceptance does not guarantee future approval. Each state, district, union, and university may apply their own evolving policies and interpretations.
3. No Refunds for Denied Credit or Ineligibility
All FTBT courses offer immediate access to proprietary content and educational resources. Because of this, all sales are final once a course has been started.
We do not provide refunds if your course is later denied by your district, union, employer, agency, or state due to eligibility issues, deadlines, or policy changes. By enrolling, you affirm that you have independently confirmed acceptance for your intended use.
4. Course Access, Platform Changes & Availability
FTBT reserves the right to update, revise, migrate, or retire courses and platform features at any time to maintain quality, technology, or legal compliance. While we aim to provide extended access, lifetime access is not guaranteed. Reasonable notice will be provided where feasible.
5. Course Completion & User Responsibility
You are responsible for completing all coursework, submissions, and credit request steps within the specified timeline. FTBT is not liable for missed deadlines, incomplete submissions, technical issues, or denied credits resulting from user error.
We are also not responsible for delays or policies enforced by our university partners, credit agencies, or external systems.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials—including videos, PDFs, graphics, assessments, written content, and platform assets—are the exclusive property of FTBT and/or its academic partners. You may not copy, share, record, download, republish, or redistribute any content without express written permission. Unauthorized use may result in access termination and legal action.
7. Account Integrity & Prohibited Use
Your course license is for a single individual. Account sharing, group viewing, impersonation, or using another user’s login is strictly prohibited. FTBT reserves the right to revoke access without refund in cases of abuse, misuse, or suspicious activity.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
All FTBT content and services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties—express or implied—including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted service.
Some jurisdictions may limit these disclaimers, so they apply only to the extent permitted by law in your area.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, FTBT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from your use of our services—including lost wages, denied credits, delayed transcripts, or missed employment opportunities.
FTBT’s total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Entire Agreement & Precedence
These Terms represent the full agreement between you and FTBT. If any course description, sales page, social media post, ad, or representative contradicts these Terms, these Terms shall prevail. No oral or written statement outside these Terms shall alter your agreement with FTBT.
11. Policy Updates
We may revise these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted on our website with an updated date. Your continued use of the platform or enrollment in courses implies your acceptance of any updates.
12. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved informally, you and FTBT agree to resolve the matter through binding arbitration in the State of Hawai‘i, instead of court. Small claims court remains an option for eligible claims. Both parties waive the right to participate in any class action or class-wide arbitration.
The intellectual property, dispute resolution, warranty disclaimers, and limitation of liability provisions in these Terms shall survive any termination of access or agreement.
13. Force Majeure
FTBT shall not be held liable for any failure to deliver services due to causes beyond our reasonable control—including natural disasters, government actions, platform outages, server failure, strikes, wars, or pandemics.
14. Accessibility & Support
FTBT is committed to accessibility and inclusive learning. If you need accommodations to access course content, please email us at [email protected]. We’ll work with you directly to support your needs wherever possible.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawai‘i, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. User Acknowledgment at Checkout
