If you were employed by HIDOE during SY 2023–24, your SIQ deadline was the first working day of SY 2026–27 — July 28, 2026. If you were hired after SY 2023–24, you have three years from your date of hire. Six graduate credits in TESOL-aligned coursework is one of several pathways HIDOE accepts — your school’s Office of Talent Management contact can confirm which one applies to you and where your record stands.

Each course is available two ways. The only difference is which university transcripts your credits: CSU Pueblo (one all-in payment of $185 — best value) or UMass Global (start at $65, add the $190 transcript later — most flexible).

- ✓ Submit your paperwork — your SIQ documentation and your salary reclassification are two separate submissions. We provide the DOE 200-005 reclassification form and walk you through it; your Office of Talent Management contact confirms what your SIQ file still needs.
For Teachers By Teachers partners with two regionally accredited universities — UMass Global (WASC Senior College and University Commission, WSCUC) and CSU Pueblo (Higher Learning Commission, HLC) — and HIDOE accepts both for salary step reclassification.
